Department of Education: Special School Focus Group Meetings

Below is a schedule of meetings that NABMSE are facilitating for our  members with representatives from the Department of Education. These meetings were initially set up to discuss the Summer Programmes, but the scope has been widened to include any matters of concern to special schools. We urge you to take full advantage of this invitation, to attend the meetings, and to clearly communicate your needs and suggestions for improvement to the DES.

This is the schedule for each meeting:

10:30am:   Tea/coffee
11:00am -1:00pm:   Meeting
1:00pm:   Lunch

Monday Nov 14th: Laois Education Support Centre, Portlaois. Please register your attendance by email to NABMSE (info@nabmse.ie) by Thursday Nov 10th.

Monday Nov 21st: Carrick on Shannon Education Support Centre. Please email your attendance to NABMSE (info@nabmse.ie) by Friday Nov 11th.

Tuesday Nov 22nd: Cork Education Support Centre. Please email your attendance to NABMSE (info@nabmse.ie) by Tuesday Nov 15th.

Thursday Nov 24th: Dublin West Education Support Centre. Please email your attendance to NABMSE (info@nabmse.ie) by Thursday Nov 16th – FULL

Friday Nov 25th: Galway Education Support Centre. Please email your attendance to NABMSE (info@nabmse.ie) by Friday Nov 18th.

Thursday Dec 8th: Dublin West Education Support Centre. Please email your attendance to NABMSE (info@nabmse.ie) by Thursday Dec 1st – FULL

N.B. There is a limited number of places at each meeting due to the capacity of the meeting rooms available. The 25 places available will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We apologise in advance if we are unable to offer you a place at any of the meetings.

A representative from NABMSE will be present at each meeting, and we look forward to meeting you in person.
